Happy Birthday Dani and Grandma Candy

This past weekend was a fun filled birthday weekend. We started out on Saturday at Dani's house. Dani is the little girl in the previous posts pictures. She turned one. I didn't take any pictures unfortuntely because we were playing the whole time. Wyatt had so much fun playing with Dani and all her friends in the ball pit. Happy Birthday Dani. After Dani's party we headed to Lafayette to celebrate Grandma Candy's birthday. Wyatt was up til 11-11:30p.m. playing with his cousins. They had so much fun playing together. They even got to jump in the Monkey Jump(that's what my 5 year old neice calls it) in the living room.

It was a very fun weekend. I was wondering why it is that I seem to never have time to post on here anymore-and I realized it's because Wyatt is all over the place. He is not walking yet by himself, but he is constantly crawling up to his push toys, pulling up and walking behind them. Then he gets mad when he runs into a wall or couch, and I have to help him out, or he makes a bee line for the dog water or the goes for the toilet paper, cords, light switches, you name it...he's after it. I know all you other moms know what I'm talking about. I praise you if you are able to get a lot done when home with your crusing kids. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Bye for now.

10 Months Old

Wyatt was ten months old on January 11th. Nine months was a lot of fun, but ten months has brought on a whole new world of independence. Don't get me wrong, I love and cherish every minute I have with my little guy, but he has been a little stubborn lately. He has started throwing mini temper tantrums. He will make his body weak and arch his back when you do something with him that he doesn't want to do. He is learning new things everyday. He loves to climb the stairs, look out the window and walk behind toys. He has clapped a few times and started to point a few times as well, but is not doing either one consistently. He is getting very vocal, and attempts to say many words. He tries to say more, but it sounds like ma ma. He says ba ba for bath, na na for no, day day for dog and occasionally gets Daisy out. We are down to nursing a couple times a day with the occasional comfort nurse. It is very sad for me, but I think my supply is starting to run out. I hope we can make it a couple more months, but we will just see how it goes. He is pretty much eating all finger foods, and he loves, loves, loves to eat. He had a very fun weekend. He went to his first friend's birthday party at Gymboree. He also went out to dinner with his little girlfriend. They are adorable together, and Dani loves to give him kisses. We really are struggling with nap times. He sleeps pretty well at night, but does not want to nap, especially his afternoon nap. Any tips from other moms? I have started making a video slideshow for his first birthday. I can't believe in two short months, he will be a year old. This past year has been the most amazing year of my life. I am so proud to be Wyatt's mommy, and I love watching him grow. On a side note, we got a new computer. We took some videos of Wyatt climbing the stairs and playing with his Christmas toys. I will try and upload a few to see how fast my new computer works. I will try and be better about posting. I think I have recovered from the holidays, and life is back to normal. We hope everyone is staying warm. Bye for now.

Secret Post from Joe's Computer

I'm back with a quick post. The computer people sill have my computer. I am not happy, and feel lost without it. We are probably going to have to end up getting a new one. If that's the case, I would have have liked to have known a week ago. Anyways, Joe is is bed already so I get to use his work computer. He doesn't really like me getting on it for stuff like this. So much has happened obviously with just getting over the holidays so I will try and summarize the last couple of weeks. I feel like my little guy has grown up overnight. He clearly says Daisy now and he has started to talk back. He always goes after the vaccum cord, and I tell him no no and he started saying no no and even shook his head. What a little stinker. He is all over the place. Tonight he climbed the stairs all the way to the top by himself with me right behind him of course. Daddy got home when we were in the playroom and he wanted to climb up to see him. He was so proud of himself. He is still cruising and walking behind toys and with your hands. He also learned how to get around by pushing his feet on his ride on truck. I am amazed everyday, and I love watching him grow. He is almost entirely eating finger foods now. I still try to stick in baby food here and there since I know that is making it in his mouth. He loves to feed himself and drink from his big boy cup. He is still nursing as well. We had a wonderful Christmas. Wyatt had a lot of fun, and got so many toys. Daddy is a little overwhelmed. I told him he better get used to it. Here are some
Christmas pics.

New Years Eve was Wyatt's first sleepover. Sophie and Blake slept over with their parents. The kiddos were pooped and all in bed around 8 and in separate rooms, but they still had fun playing before bedtime. Here's a pic from New Years. I've missed my blog and I hope people are still checking in. 2008 was the best year of my life. I cannot even begin to explain how happy Wyatt makes me, and if 2009 is even half as good as 2008 it will be a great year. Bye for now.
