The River and Indiana Beach

Two weeks ago we went to the River with some of our best friends. The weather was a little chilly, but we still had fun, and Wyatt enjoyed playing with Blake, Dani and Sophie. Mommy and Daddy had fun too! We played games, hung out outside all day and ended the day for the kiddos at least with smores.




The next day we headed to Indiana Beach with Ryan, Susan and Dani. Dani and Wyatt had a blast. They rode all the rides in kiddy land and even rode their favorite twice. They are too cute together. Enjoy the pics.

Another Update and Pics From the Past Few Weeks

We have continued to be very busy this summer. This post is going to be another quick update and some pics of the last few weeks. We have had lots of playdates in the past few weeks. We've been to the zoo a few times, the State Fair three times, and Wyatt got his first and second hair cut. I really loved Wyatt's longer hair and I didn't want to cut it, but it was starting to look kind of shaggy at times, so I thought I would get a trim but keep the length. It ended up sticking out like wings on the sides, so we decided to go for the traditional boy short cut. He looks very cute and so much older. I'm sad when I look at pictures of his long hair, but I think he looks adorable now as well. Have I said he's adorable and so much fun? Some of his newest things are putting two words together. He says school bus or pool bus. He is obsessed with school busses. He says big truck or big bear. He loves reading books. He has a few that he wants to read everynight including Goodnight Moon, Elmo Says, Moo Baa La La La and the dog book. He can recite almost all of Moo La La as he calls it. He will tell you which one he wants to read next. He will say moon or moo la la or elmo. And, believe or not, every now and then, he will count to ten. You have to help him out with a number like seven usually. He must have a good memory. I keep trying to get it on video but of course, every time I pull out the camera, he won't do it. He has been saying Hunter now too for the past month or so, and it is absolutely adorable. He loves his dogs so much. The first thing he says in the morning usually is Daisy in a high pitch squeak. Quick Update and Pics From the Last Month

I am such a bad blogger. This is going to be a random post of pictures over the last month or so and a quick update on my Wy Guy. As you all know, I am so head over heels crazy about my little man. He is soooo much fun, and if I don't say myself pretty darn cute and smart. He continues to talk up a storm and his vocabulary improves daily with new words. He will repeat almost everything you ask him to say and says many things quite well. He has recently starting saying berry, grape and apple. He also says a few numbers; mainly two, five and nine. He continues to be a good eater; but the little stinker will hardly eat any vegetables. His Mommy is a Dietitian and she doesn't like this very well. He is such a good sleeper now. He can point out several animals like horse, frog, dog, kitty, duck, bird, fish and some randoms. He knows his animal sounds well and his body parts. He knows his nose, head, ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, hand, toes, ankles, knees and just learned shoulder today. Oh, and I can't forget his pee pee and ba ba for bottom. He is so happy except when you stop him from doing something he wants to do; he throws a little fit. He calls me Mommy now and Joe Daddy, but I've noticed when he's sad or wants something; anyone is Mommy. Well there's my recap of the last month. Happy 15 1/2 months Baby Boy

Wyatt is 15 1/2 months old. I meant to post a couple of weeks ago when he was 15 months old, but have been busy, and have had trouble keeping up with the blog lately. This post might be kind of long because I haven't posted in a while and I want to be able to look back and remember all that Wyatt was doing at 15 months old. Wyatt is so much fun right now. My little Wy Wy is such a smarty. He is talking up a storm. I feel like he says or tries to say almost everything lately. The past week or so he has started pointing out trucks and flowers. He even pointed to a white truck today and said Da Da. He has started putting a couple of words together like bye Daisy or bye Daddy. He also has figured out how to get you to help him with something. He comes over to you and pushes you and says move and then goes to what he wants and says please book or please up or please whatever he wants. Speaking of please, it is so cute when he says please and signs it, but he says it all the time. He thinks if he says please that he can have whatever he wants. Man does it start early. Speaking of things he says all the time. He says La La for the Elmo song constantly as well anytime he sees a computer or cell phone or Ipod docking station. I heard someone at work humming the Elmo song today. You know you're a Mommy when... He is still signing but really only for eat and please. He loves books now. He will say book and night night and go to the rocker in his room and say up when he's ready to sit on your lap for a story. He likes to pick out the book and will say no if you pick out the wrong one. He has gotten to be a very picky eater and will rarely eat vegetables at the moment which I hate. He has also started some bad toddler habits like pushing, biting (mainly Mommy) and hitting(mainly the dogs). I don't think he's doing it to be mean, he's wanting to see what your reaction will be. He is going to sleep much easier now. We always read a few stories, rock a little and then put him in his crib. He will usually cry even if he's sound asleep when you put him in there, but only for a couple of minutes. He knows animal sounds and most of his body parts and can point out some other animals besides dogs in books now. He does itsy bitsy spider and if you're happy and you know it. I am so proud of him, and I love him more and more each day. I am having so much fun with him at this age and cherish every single minute I get to spend with him. Our Mexico Beach Vacation

Well, we are back from our vacation. We had a great time, and as always, the week seemed to fly by. I love sunny beach days so it was a little disappointing when it was overcast, windy and even a little chilly a few of the days we were there,but the other days made up for it. Wyatt was not a fan of the ocean. I think the sound of the waves maybe scared him a little. He loved playing in the sand though. He seemed to like the pool okay, but he would sign all done after being in his floaty after a few minutes. Like most things these days, i.e.swings, the wagon, etc...he would much rather be on the go running around then trapped in something. Wyatt just loves being outside, and he enjoyed running outside all over the place. We went out to dinner a few times, and we went for a boat ride in the Gulf. We parked at a Sandbar and hung out off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico for a while, and Wyatt had such a good time splashing in the water. He was such a good boy all week, but I think he was excited to be home. Here are some pictures of our trip. Bye for now.

Happy Birthday Trevor and Quick Recap of the Past Few Weekends.

I am so behind in blogging and I'm sorry. I feel like I have been so busy lately, and I promise I will try and do better. This past weekend we celebrated Trevor Morgan's first birthday. We all had a great time. Trevor and Wyatt don't know it yet but they have years of friendship ahead of them. My Meemaw(Wyatt's late great grandmother) and Trevor's late Great Grandfather grew up together during the summers at Yellow Creek Lake followed by the next generation of both their Grandma's and then the following generation; their Mommies. Wyatt and Trevor will be fourth generation friends spending fun summer days at Yellow Creek. Trevor really dug into his cake,
and Wyatt enjoyed his too; thankfully not as messily.

A few weeks ago we went to the zoo with Wyatt's other buddy Blake and his parents. They had fun and were very tired little boys when we left. That night we all cooked out and Dani and her parents came over. Here are a few pictures of Wyatt from the night.



Dani and Wyatt love to kiss eachother...it is so cute. Don't forget about us, and check back periodically. The past few weeks have been busy. Wyatt has had a couple of playdates with Dani and Mommy had a playdate with her sorority sisters in Chicago. Wyatt went to the zoo again yesterday with Grandma and Mommy-we had so much fun.
